Ellen Adarna is not only getting better as a person after her 3 week mental training program in Bali, Indonesia but is also feeling so happy and fulfilled now that she is a mom.
According to the actress, she enjoys being a mom and it is the main reason why she is not coming back to showbiz anytime soon.
During her online interview with Monster RX 93.1 last April, she clarified that going back in the entertainment industry is not part of her plan as of the moment.
“Definitely not in the next seven years,” she said.
“I want to be with my son in his formative years, which is the first seven years. I’m a very hands-on mom.” she added.
Unlike what people expects, Ellen actually changed a lot now that she is a mother.
In a separate interview with Mo Twister in the April 3 episode of his podcast Good Times With Mo, Ellen recounted her journey towards healing and her character development because of motherhood.
“In November, I felt that I was getting better but it was very slow. Like I felt at that time when I stopped my medication, I felt like there was going to be hope and it was just taking so long.
“And then I started opening up to my friends and talking to some people and my friend Samantha who did this program had the same issues. And then after she did it she was like a brand new person.
“And at that time I was just really desperate to get better. Of course I’m a different person now. I’m a mother. So it’s like Ellen 3.O,” she explained.
Although she sometimes misses her 24 year old carefree and happy go lucky self (which is according to the actress, the best year of her life) she is now in control and has to think of her son all of the time.
(I miss) how free-spirited I was and how I had no worries. But now I’m a mom. I have to think about my son all the time. I’m a professional worrier now (laughs),” she joked.
